PRINTING MUSEUM

The printing business activity has a long history in Città di Castello. Grifani Donati Printing Company" is very important in this field and dates back to 1799 using many different craft methods. Since early 1800 it has been sited on the first floor of the indoor market building, called in the past "La Salara".
Still today, the old nineteenth century wood turning equipment, hand made desks, the cylindrical printing machinery and many other specific items are conserved by the company and all these items, together in the intact setting creates a rare and unusual printing museum.
