The Ancient Town
THE ANCIENT WALLS

Still intact are the ancient walls, leaving a reminder of the towns medieval past. In some parts, the double walls are still visible, particularly around the entrance in front of the Ansa del Tevere Park.
Along the west side of by-pass road, there is the 13th Century Porta Sant'Andrea gate. Another important sight is the San Giacomo Embattled Tower, although at present it is in need of restoration.
