PIAZZA MATTEOTTI (MATTEOTTI SQUARE)

Piazza Matteotti is the town's "centre of centre". Based around it there are many beautiful Palaces such as Palazzo del Podestà (neo-classical facade), Palazzo Bondi-Mancini (in the past the site of an extraordinary private art gallery full of Signorelli's paintings, nowadays in Philadelphia and London), Palazzo Vitelli-Bufalini (refined, severe and in the past, the site of a precious art collection with Poussin, Rubens, Van Dykes paintings) Palazzo Cappelletti (late Renaissance), and Palazzo Bufalini (on the lateral side).
