PODESTĄ PALACE
The Posesta` Palace was built using stones similar to the coeval Palazzo Comunale by Angelo da Orvieto. and only the faēade facing Corso Cavour is intact. Decorated with nine ogival arches enriched with lunettes on the first floor, by stone armorial bearings and friezes, and on the main floor, by a series of beautiful mullioned windows with two lights, a larger arch defines the entrance and communicates with the seventeenth century portico facing Piazza Fanti. The neo-classic side of Podestą facing Piazza Matteotti, finished by Nicola Barbioni in 1687, has a very characteristic clock with two dials and with a rare wind star.
